about AWMiller

Welcome to my blog!!!

Here you’ll be able to read up on all of my rants and chants about a multitude of topics! Mostly what you’ll find in this blog are updates about my family and logs of some of the trips that we’ve taken, and stories (not lies!!) of my fishing excursions.

So enjoy yourself as you browse around this blog!! And by all means, leave a message if something strikes your interests!!

More about what you may (or may not) want to know more about:

FAMILY:

As you can see below, I’ve been blessed with an incredible family!! A beautiful wife (Su) from the lovely country of South Korea and two gorgeous daughters! Our oldest (Angelica) is in college and pursuing her dreams in the medical field while our youngest (Alana) is plugging through high school. We love to take trips together and hang out together when our hectic schedules will allow.

MY INTERESTS:

Fishing – oh my… I’d better not get started on this one or this host site will shut me down because I’ve taken up all of its space! But those that know me know that fishing is right there next to breathing and eating! It’s almost like the involuntary action of my eyes blinking… I can’t drive by a body of water without slowing down to start scoping out where I’d fish if I were on the water!

Cooking – yeah I cook, and I’m getting tired of Emeril and all those other ‘cooks’ that have their own shows calling me and trying to get my recipes and techniques. Some say I should open up my own restaurant but that’s something that just won’t ever happen. If I did, cooking would become a job and no longer a joy and my food wouldn’t taste good anymore if I did. You’ll find all my recipes under “Pop’s Recipes” in the topics listing.

Traveling – We’ve been around … Los Cabos, Mexico… California (too many cities to mention!)… Korea… Vegas… Seattle… Boston… Canada… and others. Plus we’ve got some trips planned to take: Alaska (my life-long dream trip)… possibly Santiago, Chile… and who knows where else we just might go!

Reading - to say I love to read is like saying the ocean is full of water. The books I read mostly deal with fishing, ministry, and leadership development.

Music – love it…. love to listen to it and love to play it. I like to listen to the oldies from the 60s, 70s, and 80s (scary to think that the 80s are now considered ‘oldies’!), Christian; and I don’t mind cranking up some good Russian Tango music played by that Iranian rap group, Got Oil?, when I’m stuck in traffic! (did I mention i have a warped sense of humor?) … I play some guitar but most will agree that my air-guitar is more pleasant on the ears!

More to come when I think of it!
