Recommended Books on Fishing
The other day I was going through my books and weeding through the vast collection that has occurred over the years. After sorting through my books, I then made two piles … in one pile were books that I can do without and in the other pile were books that I deemed my ‘must-have’ books.
So here’s the current list of books on fishing that I feel should be on your shelf. This list does not contain those books related to fly fishing… this list will appear in a different posting.
- Bob McNally’s Complete Book of Fisherman’s Knots, Fishing Rigs, and How to Use Them (Bob McNally)
- Crappie: A Handbook of Strategies (In-Fisherman)
- The Crappie Book: Basics and Beyond (Keith Sutton)
- Fly Fishers Guide to Texas (Phil Snook) …. although this book is for fly fisherman, it contains excellent resource information about the vast majority of lakes/rivers throughout Texas.
- Freshwater Fishing Tips & Techniques (Gene Kugach)
- In-Fisherman Critical Concepts 1: Crappie Fundamentals (In Fisherman)
- McClane’s Field Guide to Freshwater Fishes of North America (A.J. McClane)
- Sport Fish of Fresh Water (Vic Dunaway)
- Sport Fish of the Gulf of Mexico (Vic Dunaway)
More to come…. I’m sure!!
